I was visiting some friends of mine and we dusted off some Lps and first one we pop out was was from a Australian group Men At Work. There were a couple of guys that were confused and who the group was so I decided to refresh their memory. I pulled out my turntable…yes I still own one, checked the needle, rubbed down the record and gentle layed the needle down. Did you know that this day is history 28 Year ago the Australian Group “Men At Work” made the Billboard Top 100 with the Hit “Who Can It Be Now” It was the second single and first track from their 1981 debut album, Business as Usual. The track peaked at #2 on the Australian singles chart in August that year and went on to reach #1 in the USA . they were also #1 in Cashbox Magazine
The group had achieve international success in 1980′s. In October 1982, the song was #1 in the USA. Then, in November of that year, Business As Usual began a 15 week run at #1 on the US album chart. While “Who Can It Be Now?” was still in the top ten, the second single, “Down Under” was released. It entered the charts at #79; ten weeks later, it was #1.
